The Wing Foil Switch to Tack

Tips

• Look out of the turn. Where you look is where you go!
• Speed is your friend. Keep momentum throughout the entire transition!
• The faster you go while carving the more you will be able to tighten the turn.
• Sheet in the wing after the turn.
• Keep your back foot on the centerline of the board.
• Approach the tack across the wind NOT upwind!
• Try and nail the transition on both tacks.
• Try the transition on flat spots.

Conclusions

The Wing Foil Switch to Tack is a fun and extremely rewarding maneuver, not as difficult as the Tack to Switch but still not that easy to learn. In the next tutorial, we’ll cover the 360. Stay tuned on ww.wingsurfmag.it
